Rachel’s pathway into recruitment is somewhat intriguing. In 2000, after successfully completing a Bachelor of Arts at Adelaide University she immediately enrolled in and completed a Bachelor of Education at UniSA. Following the completion of this second degree, Rachel accepted a position as a teacher in Adelaide and, after teaching for three years, her strong inner ambition and self belief led her to seek a change of direction. Rachel returned to UniSA and on this occasion successfully completed a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations/Communication, all while working full time with one of Adelaide’s premier PR companies. After working for two years in the cut throat PR and media industry, Rachel decided to take the next step in her career. On the advice of others and through her own research she saw recruitment as an industry which allowed her to draw on much of her past experience.
Rachel undoubtedly brings to CTC a level of maturity and understanding which is rarely seen in the recruitment industry. This, coupled with her tireless work ethic have allowed her to further develop the key Environmental and Planning sectors whilst further establishing CTC as a clear market leader in the fields of Chemical and Process Engineering. This level of specialisation has seen Rachel build a wealth of knowledge and industry contacts in this critical, yet often under-resourced sector.
You only need speak to Rachel once to see her genuine interest for helping people. Above all else Rachel strives to ensure that the decisions made by candidates are in the best interest of their long term goals while at the same time satisfying all of the clients recruitment needs. Rachel has plenty to look forward to in the coming months and she is hopeful that the drive and ambition she applies to recruitment will hold her in good stead as she tackles her next big challenge, competing in her first triathlon.
