Development and evolution often define success and as Adelaide continues to grow our client, a locally based engineering design practice have played significant roles in much of the building structures and civil infrastructure work that has been undertaken in recent years. Many of these projects are and continue to be landmark developments for this evolving city; this reflects the culture and dynamics of this multi disciplined consultancy. Widely regarded as the premier building structures consultancy in Adelaide they have always looked outside the square and recruited as much on attitude as raw technical ability and as such they are presently looking to appoint a Junior Civil Project Manager.
Whilst tertiary qualifications are desirable they are not essential as full training, where required will be provided in Project Management and Civil Engineering. Having site based construction experience will prove beneficial as a spatial awareness of Civil Engineering and a passion for large scale urban infrastructure projects will form part of the successful applicant’s attitude. Alternatively you may have one to two years civil design experience and want to fast track your career into Project Management whilst building upon your already design foundations. With exceptional interpersonal skills and an attitude that understands long term potential you will be pro-active in the way you conduct yourself.
This is unquestionably a rare opportunity for those without any formal tertiary qualifications in civil engineering to be practically trained in civil engineering whilst assuming varying degrees of project management experience. Remuneration will be negotiated to reflect any previous experience which may be relevant whilst also accounting for the investment and training this position offers.
