This Facilities Manager Role

Managing some of the longest standing commercial property owners in South Australia you'll be working with a team of three other FM's, all individually responsible for a separate portfolio.  You will be managing three significant commercial/industrial sites across metro-Adelaide.  With no retail tenants your role will be focusing on maximising the property lifecycle, starting with building relationships with your landlord owners and tenants and arranging maintenance, managing budgets, running cap-ex and project managing capital works.  As you'll be aware, the digitisation of building construction has been underway for some time but unfortunately, not much in Adelaide.  You could help change this as the benefits of Building Information Management (BIM) are explained to property owners looking for long term data of their new buildings.  

What You'll need to bring

Most importantly, your positive, refreshingly enthusiastic approach to facilities management.  This will be key to help you fit into the culture of this Adelaide-born boutique property consultancy, yet with a professional, corporate feel.  Your verbal and written communication will be paramount, together with your experience in the role to the point of being autonomous with much of the duties.  With a team of experienced FM's you'll always have others to bounce things off with and seek guidance however your own initiative will be crucial to getting things done.  Experience of managing capital works projects will be importantly to help you plan for and navigate upcoming maintenance jobs both small and some larger.
